Lismore 'Spooky Creek' New South Wales, December 2001

In the year 2001 I received my introduction into the world of fresh water fishing by my buddy Garry Lane. It was by chance that spent a day together during business and I was sprooking about my saltwater fishing abilities that Gazza started talking about freshwater fishing. At the time I said that I thought it was a waste of time freshwater fishing to which Gazza said that I just hadn't been taught how to do it right. Sensing a bit of a challenge in the air, not long after that a trip was set (one of many fantatic adventures) where I began my education into the art of freshwater fishing. I remember that one of the conditions that Gazza made when we did our first trip was "Don't bring your dirty saltwater fishing habits with you." Over the next few years Gazza showed me the ropes that would see me get my 'Beginners' licence in freshwater fishing and I've been learning ever since.
